Pyxis Industries has been busy in 2018 with many large projects, small projects and shows. We have added to our rental inventory to better serve the needs of our customers. We are excited about some of the projects we are working on with our yearly customers and look forward to building lasting relationships with new customers as well in the coming year. So whats new you ask at Pyxis Industries. We have had a busy start to 2017. We have been opening up new dealerships to help our customers get the best gear for them and their needs. We have added many items to our rental inventory. Some of these item include the Elation Lighting Platinum HFX moving head and well as more Elation Lighting SIXPAR 200IP. We have made a great relationship to get our customers acoustical panels that look great and are priced right as well. Blizzard is releasing the industries first RGBWA (Red, Blue, Green, White, Amber) fixture in a 5 color chip. Pyxis Industries is excited to announce we have added 4 more American Audio SENSERIES Sense12 speakers to our rental inventory. This brings us to a total of 6 Sense 12 speakers and 1 Sense 18b subwoofer. These are a great speaker at an even more excellent price point. We have installed a number of these speakers in church’s and used in a few portable church setups as well. These work great as a stage wedge or as a FOH speaker. They have a clean look to them and are a quality build. Look for these to end up on your show, or even just as a speaker you come into rent.
Pyxis Industries fell in love the the Behringer X32 digital audio console so much we decided to add more of the family to our rental inventory. Pyxis now has 2 of the Behringer S16 16×8 digital stage boxes to use with the console or to be able to demo the console to you our customers. Along with the 2 S16 stage boxes we have a 100 meter tour grade CAT5E cable to run from front of house to the stage. This combination works perfectly for the “Portable Church” that sets up every weekend and is looking for a way to make setup easier and quicker.
Pyxis industries is excited to announce we have added 8 Audio Technica 3000 series wireless microphones to our rental inventory along with Mogan standard earset microphones. These are available for rental or will been seen out on our shows. This adds to our inventory of 4 channels of Audio Technica 5000 series wireless systems as well.

Pyxis Industries provided Sound and engineering for the Anati Tuesday CD release party in San Marcos, CA. Sound Engineer Alan DiCato also mixed and mastered this CD at his Studio – Ground Level Sound in Vista, CA. This was an excellent event and all that attended, and we all had an excellent time.

Pyxis Industries is once again set to rock the Bob Burton Center for the performing arts with Best Foot Forward Dance Studio based out of Escondido, CA. Pyxis Industries owner Chad Costanzo has worked with Best Foot Forward and Miss Amy Page Eddo for over 10 years. Pyxis industries provides the Lighting, Lighting Design, Sound Engineer and other support duties for this show.
This year Pyxis has started using Q-Lab and this year it was added to help run the show smoother.Q-Lab is running the Audio, Video, & Slide Shows. Q-Lab is being run off two Mac’s with Midi Show Control controlling the second mac.

Pyxis Industries is adding 2 Elation Power Spot 700 Moving Lights to its rental and production inventory. Pyxis decided to go with the Elation Power Spot 700’s due the feature set and price point of the fixtures. Our customers have been asking for flying subs to go with the JBL VRX 932 Speakers we use on many events. So now in addition to the SRX 718s subs we use we have 2 JBL VRX 918S subs to go along with the system. Looking forward to the ability to fly subs and even just have the extra sub power for outdoor events.

Pyxis Industries is excited to announce we have added two new Hitachi CP-WX8255 projectors to our rental inventory. These units will see their first usage on Easter Sunday for a sunrise service at a local church. Pyxis Industries is excited to announce it has added more of the ETC Source Four 750 watt fixtures to its rental inventory available to for immediate rental usage. With a selection of Barrels to choose from, as well as gobo holders and irises we are ready for your next event.
Pyxis Industries was recently asked to provide a sound system for North Coast Calvary Chapel which is based out of Carlsbad, CA. They were planning their second annual Gospel on the Green, a fundraiser for the Oceanside Boys & Girls Club. The show consisted of an 8 piece band and a 30 person choir performing gospel numbers. The Church had concerns over the volume for the neighbors since some complaints were received last year, even with a self imposed sound curfew of 8:30pm. Pyxis suggested the use of the JBL VRX932 speaker system to help control where the sound was aimed. The JBL system performed very well and helped keep the sound where we wanted which kept the neighbors happy. Both the church and the band praised Pyxis on the quality of the sound and working with them to be a good neighbor.
The Pyxis Industries staff is heading to the 2012 NAMM show located in Anaheim, CA. This show is going to release some cool new gear and well as be the first public showing of the Midas Pro2 Audio console. I have already heard the buzz about some of the new gear that will be released at NAMM 2012, and I am excited to be able to offer this equipment to our customers in 2012. As well as seeing new equipment we are looking to build some exciting new relationships with new suppliers for 2012 and beyond. Pyxis Industries was chosen to be the audio system provider for the 2011 R.A.D Awards show at the PALA Casino. This event was held in the events center at Pala Casino. The system we used the was the EV TOUR-X system with our Crown I-Tech amplifiers & Audio Technica 5000 series wireless microphones. With a performance by Paul Wall the crowd was excited and the system had plenty of headroom and bass. Pyxis Industries looks forward to a lasting relationship with with Riders Above Dirt (R.A.D) System Provided.
